Warhammer 40k Batrep #3 Marines Vs. Sisters of Battle!
Back at it again folks with another quick 40k battle report. This time I got to play against a local gamer and friend Steve. We played at GW Coliseum and got to use their awesome terrain for the battle. I won't give anything away but this game was shorter than most, lol.
We bumped the game from 1500 to 1850 as Steve had just finished an 1850 game and that way could use the exact same army. My list sadly remained similar to older lists because of the points jump last minute.
Let me know what you all think!
Cheers,
JO

Two Pounds At A Time
So, with the EW tournament at Perkin's Hobbies quickly approaching, I have been hard at work rounding out my British Armored Company to lay some non-HE type destruction on the table. As most players of FoW are well aware, the Brits lack HE anti-tank capability almost right through all of WW2. It's a huge hurdle when you are facing opponents that have dug-in infantry or guns....or anything else for that matter....up to and including a mess tin! You can't kill any of it without some firepower of a HE round.
Now with the two trucks complete, I managed to create two small stands with magnets so the guns can be fully removed from the trucks and mounted on a small base. At this point, I know the trailing arms on a 2-Pdr face to the front, I'm just waiting to get my hands on some small wheels to finish these up proper. For the tournament, they'll do just fine and I can not wait to use them.
Initially I had zero interest in Early War and found myself with an entire company of tanks that had no use in any other theater. What I found though, after playing a few games, is that it seems to be a 'pure' game when you are having it out against your opponent. Sure this list, like my MW Australians lacks a lot of 'toys' and high-explosive capability. In the end it's still fun to play and I'm looking forward to Sunday. I'll bring a post-tournament writeup along as usual when I get back and actually show off my army when it's on fire and smoking on the table! Hopefully you are all having a great beginning to your summer and you should see some holidays at some point I would think yeh? One month to Historicon!

Warhammer 40k Batrep #2 Marines Vs. Eldar!
Hello again all, I managed to sneak in another game of 40k last night with a buddy Shahin!
I ran my same Marine list as the first battle report, as I'm mostly trying to learn rules here, not worrying as much about tactics and such.
I promise once this learning curve is off and I pick a list, painting will be stepped up to make these bat reps look prettier.
Anyways, without further adieu, here is Batrep 002 Marines v. Eldar

Back To The Future...40,000 Years Into the Future!
Hello guys and gals, Joyous here with something new and old at the same time. Originally, most of the Dice Devils' videos were of 40k bat reps (provided by our own MattVarnish) though with the rise of Flames of War in our group, the 40k games died down to a trickle, and then none within a couple years. Even most of of the Dice Devils now have sold off or are trying to sell off their remaining 40k armies.
I couldn't do it. Sure I trimmed some of my collections but I love the 40k universe and, who am I kidding here, the models.
Sure, its a premium price for GW models, but NO ONE has their level of quality in plastic models currently and none look even remotely close.
I knocked together a haphazard army of Space Marines for this battle report just to start trying the new rules.
Honestly, the game is a blast to play, and while it isn't the same game you remember, there is a tonne more in it now which makes it both more competitive and more prone to balance issues, though balance is easily fixed within your group of friends.
Anyways, without further adieu, here is the video, please enjoy and please comment to let me know what I can do to make the next battle reports better! Just don't say buy a new video camera and a tripod, as that's outside the budget, lol.

A "small" diversion...
BATTLTECH! This was my first miniature game. As I mentioned in my last post, Battletech holds a dear place in my hobby heart. I remember do...
